Village Mentality

New to Field Day this year is a dedicated village green area. Inspired by summer sports days and country fetes - Village Mentality's Village Green will host side-stalls and activities throughout the daytime, ranging from sack-racing to splat-the-rat to the ' eat as many carrots as you can ' contest.

So come along and try your luck on the tombola, crack a few nuts on the coconut shy, join Pom Pom International in making pompoms for world peace - or just sit on some hay bales and stuff your face with homemade cake! There will also be a Tug O' War where some of the bands and artists appearing at the festival will do battle with only along piece of rope for weaponry. Come along, have fun and as the country saying goes 'be like an ant in the days of summer.'

If you're dying to be included in the carrot eating contest, are a semi-professional sack racer or have a stall or activity that you think would be perfect for the Village Green then email: villagementality@googlemail.com
