Anish Kumar

"Kumar pulls influence from multiple cultural touchstones, from Northern soul to classic Bollywood, incorporating elements into his signature tapestry of analogue warmth and rough-edged sampling. "

Since the release of his debut EP Postcards in 2022, Anish Kumar has emerged as a major talent from the UK’s electronic music scene. The 25-year-old British-Indian artist has received repeated co-signs from Four Tet, Daphni, Bonobo, Danny Howard and Pete Tong, with a slew of critically acclaimed releases leading to his selection for a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and Spotify’s RADAR programme.

Kumar pulls influence from multiple cultural touchstones, from Northern soul to classic Bollywood, incorporating elements into his signature tapestry of analogue warmth and rough-edged sampling. By resolutely upholding this eclectic sonic architecture in his DJ sets, he has earned bookings at formidable festivals including Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Lost Village, Dialled In, Four Tet’s All-Dayer, and Field Day, as well as repeat appearances at revered venues such as The Warehouse Project and Printworks. After a successful debut run in North America last year, he returned to support Barry Can’t Swim in April this year.

We’re so excited for Anish Jumar to join us at Field Day 2026.
